BIO
Brilliant but absent-minded, literal and logical about her supernatural sixth sense - Amelia seems to be full of contradictions, but she's easy to get to know. Thanks to her natural skill at perceiving ghosts, she's an investigator with Marianne Rider's supernatural detective agency. She dreams of seeing more of the world and spending time in big cities. When she's sent out with her colleague Juan to investigate a minor mystery in a small seaside town, she's a little disappointed, but the situation quickly escalates beyond anyone's wildest imagination, much like the fantasy stories Amelia's always loved.PAST
Amelia always dreamed of attending law school and putting her attention to detail to good use. Although her social awkwardness presented a few obstacles, she was ready and willing to practice and learn. However, she quickly realized that her ability to sense where people had died was not court-admissible evidence. She became a private investigator/ghost-hunter instead, which is working out well so far. She has a natural affinity for handling difficult animals, and on the weekends, she gives riding lessons to young children at a local stable. As the stakes get higher and the danger increases, she gets her wish for adventure and joins the Crisis Avoidance Team in the big city.POWERS AND ABILITIES
Amelia's most remarkable skill is being able to tell whether people have died at some particular location. Occasionally, but not always, she can discern some information about the actual ghost. However, she can't communicate with them. She also has great aim with a taser.DESIGN NOTES: Primary
Amelia's outfit is themed around equestrian gear, particularly through her boots, leggings, and half-chaps (the protective leather layer over the boots). Her jacket is practical but distinctive, and quirky design elements like her dyed hair and accessories keep her from being limited to a single theme. She has a diabetic medical alert bracelet, several keychains including a self-defense cat and a flash drive, and an elaborate charm bracelet that reflects her various interests.DESIGN NOTES: Defining Traits
Amelia's palette is fuchsia/dark pink, tan, and dark brown. Although this is her only outfit so far, the most distinctive elements feel like the equestrian motifs (particularly the boots) and her jacket. I would expect her accessories to stay constant between her outfits. Future designs are TBD.CREDITS
